What a great way to have fun and raise money for the Charitable Trust.  During the week Daily Silent Auctions are held ringside at the Charitable Trust tables.  Each day new items are up for auction; the auction ends each day approximately 10 minutes after judging has concluded.  The next day it starts again with new auction items.  While everyone who has previously attended our Cavlaier National Specialty has come to expect our Daily Silent Auctions, they are in truth waiting for the auctions that are conducted the night of the Banquet.  The saying comes to mind  "you ain't seen nothing yet" when describing the items that are up for auction that evening.

There are typically 2 different Silent Auctions that start when cocktails are served and end sometime after dinner; each Silent Auction ends at a different time in order that the auction workers have a chance of starting on the necessary paperwork for check out.  If you want to bid, you must register and receive a 'Bidding Number' in order to take part in the fun.  It isn't until after dinner when all of the announcements and awards are complete that the real fun begins; our Live Auction.  For a number of years our guest auctioneer has been David Frei, the well known voice of the Westminster Kennel Club's live televised group and Best in Show judging; we are so fortunate to have David as a friend.  David knows just how to get things rolling and people bidding higher and higher all for the good of the Charitable Trust.

 Auction Items are Always Needed

Auction items are always needed!  Once we are finished with the present year's auction the hunt begins for auction items for the following year.  Donations are welcome at any time of year.  Anything that you find interesting or unique would likely do well at the auction; someone else is likely to think that this items is also interesting and unique.  Items that can be used in the care and training of a Cavalier or items with Cavaliers depicting what Cavaliers do best most certainly do well at auction.  Original artwork, prints (especially signed and numbered) do exceptionally well.  If you find items at thrift stores, garage sales or simply cleaning out your closets attics, or basements, pliease think about donating these things to the Charitable Trust for auction. All items donated are a tax deductable donation by virtue of the Charitable Trust's  501 (c)(3) status.   For auction item donations please contact the Auction Chair using the following email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.   Items can be sent to the Auction Chair anytime throughout the year; we will make sure your item(s) get to the auction so you don't have to worry about transporting it to the show.  The auctions can only be as great as the items up for auction, so your challenge is to become a Personal Shopper for the Charitable Trust.  Thank you.
