Syringomyelia (SM)

Syringomyelia (sear-IN-go-my-EEL-ya) is a disorder in which a cyst or herniation called Syrinx forms within the spinal cord. SM causes a wide variety of neuropathic symptoms due to damage and degeneration of the spinal cord.
