Join the Fun!
Each year, the CKCS Charitable Trust hosts an exciting evening event to help fund research for Cavalier health and celebrate the breed. A sit down dinner, cash bar and live auction are featured, along with several stages of silent auctions. Our auctioneer, a traditional voice of dog shows, David Frei, keeps the crowd entertained and the event lively. The Club’s annual Register of Merit and Legion of Merit Awards are also presented at this event, and the recipient of the prestigious Patricia L. Kanan Award for Outstanding Service to the Charitable Trust.
In addition to the evening event, silent auctions are held each day during the National Specialty Show. These combined events generally raise over $20,000 each year and feature a wide array of beautiful and useful items in wide price ranges available for bid by those in attendance. Please support the Charitable Trust’s efforts to make this event a success by attending and/or donating an item for auction. You may walk away with a new treasure. Membership in the club is not required to attend, but advance tickets are required for purchase.
Auction Items are Always Needed
Auction items are always needed! Once we are finished with the present year's auction the hunt begins for auction items for the following year. Donations are welcome at any time of year. Anything that you find interesting or unique would likely do well at the auction; iItems that can be used in the care and training of a Cavalier or items with Cavaliers depicting what Cavaliers do best most certainly do well at auction. Original artwork, prints (especially signed and numbered) do exceptionally well. If you find items at thrift stores, garage sales or simply cleaning out your closets attics, or basements, pliease think about donating these things to the Charitable Trust for auction.
